TIMING OF HOLIKA DAHAN- Time is prescribed according to the states for Holika dahan 2020. It is highly prohibited to perform bonfire of Holika Dahan before sunset as in reality it cannot be the reason for bringing too much misfortune to life. It should be done at a particular time on full moon tithi only after sunset. It is very important to choose good Muhrat to perform Holika Dahan rituals. Ideally, this should be done on the Pradosha period when night and day meet each other.
The ritual of Holika Dahan is prohibited till Bhadra Tirtha. Also, in India, the exact time varies for the same time throughout the state.
